Chief James Riccio is proud to announce that beginning October 10, 2017 members of the Brick Township Police Department will be teaching students from Brick Township High School and Brick Memorial High School the #NotEvenOnce Program.  The program was developed by the Manchester Township Police Department in response to the growing opiate epidemic.  This interactive course is a collaborative effort between law enforcement and educators with the goal of informing students about the dangers of opiates before they leave for college or enter the work force.  This program, which meets all of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for health classes, will be taught to juniors and seniors during health class.  The #NotEvenOnce program is in addition to other programs currently in place at the Elementary Schools (DARE) and Middle Schools (LEAD and SEED).  Through these programs our children receive continuous education/awareness about the dangers of opiate abuse that is facing our community.   The following members of the Police Department will be instructing the #NotEvenOnce program:  School Resource Officers Tim McCarthy and Mark Byrne, Ptl. Jason Shepherd, Ptl. John Alexander, Ptl. Bryan Murphy, Ptl. Sean Flynn, and Ptl. Jennifer LaRocca.
